We often talk about our students being able to use the web responsibly; we need to be a model for that behavior. In order to do that I thought I would create a page detailing my ditigal footprint. I’ve seen some other educators do this well, and I was also inspired by reading a few articles including Will Richardson on ASCD and David Truss’ Complete Guide to Building a Digital Footprint.
Classroom Conversation – my blog about teaching, education, innovation and creativity. Just starting out.
Twitter – I’m still figuring out how to use this social media tool in a way that is beneficial besides a type of feed reader. Love it to be a more interactive, communication tool.
Diigo – a social bookmarking tool that I learned about from George Couros. (Whom I also learned about creating a digital footprint.)
Facebook – Really for personal use, but I still think it is good to represent appropriate public behavior here.
My Classroom page – The inspiration (in title) for this blog and a place where I communicate (in a one way conversation) with my students.

Great start!
Some other places to build a profile, (without too much work), include:
A YouTube profile which includes favourites and playlists so you don’t need to have videos uploaded, a Google profile and a LinkedIn for a professional profile.
But one of the most powerful things you can do is develop this blog into a journal of your learning. The power of linking and connecting to other blogs as well the freshness of new ‘pages’ (posts) being added all the time makes a blog a great home base for your digital footprint.
~Cheers.
